Little do they know though that Mickey knows Bruce Willis AND Will Smith, two guys who've also recently lost their dogs in tragic circumstances and are keen on a revenge of their own.

But this is the real world and the Bad Guys are wise to all the tricks from Rourke & Co's previous action adventures.

Nepalm laced comedy ensues.

I like your idea about the elderly couple who come together via their lost dogs-- but a char looking for their pet has been done several times in movies.

My take: A Rom Com...

After seeing a pretty girl plead for her missing dog on a local news show, I lonely guy tells her he has her dog. But when she comes to pick it up he claims the dog has disappeared again. They then team up and search for the dog together.

The big lie is that he never had the dog & has no idea where it is. And of course, this leads to big trouble when she finds out.
