This is sad news indeed. HOMICIDE was one of my all-time favorite shows, to the point where I even bought the sub-par seasons 6 and 7 on DVD just for a few good episodes. He wrote some great ones, including "Bop Gun" which is generally known as "The Robin Williams episode" in season two. It might be one of Williams' best performances.

I was just getting started on a Homicide-related post for my blog featuring a different episode, but now I might have to cover one of his in tribute.
