very descriptive indeed. So glanced through the whole basic instinct script to see if it was full of 'ellipses (...)'. And I saw many, as well as a lot of 'em-dashes (--)'.

Are screenwriters taught to use these sparingly now? Because i for one love to use ellipses, and I'm always tempted to use em-dashes. But I'm seeing less and less in newer scripts.

I love the description. It's effective because it's great writing. It's incredibly sexy. It does the job very well.
