I'd like give a shout out to Jeffrey Berman who runs The Write Environment and has a series of similar DVDs with mostly TV writers -- Joss Whedon, Damon Lindeloff, etc. But he also has a comic book writer series as well (Marv Wolfman, Geoff Johns are in there)

Fantastic, informative stuff (and Jeff’s a great guy as well) that is worth checking out.

I have watched all of this and I can't recommend them highly enough. This type of material reminds me of why I come to this blog regularly and rarely look at other screenwriting blogs. Scott is great about highlighting primary sources.
BTW, these are available (or at least they were) on Netflix and eacha and every one has something to offer. The biggest thing you'll learn is that there is no right way or wrong way, just whatever way works.
Buy them if you can afford them--support the project. But seek them out.

I have the entire series, it's very good and worth investing in. There's nothing more enjoyable to writers than talking about it, especially for those who have made it. Listening to these raconteurs talk about their own struggles and how they broke through, it gives you hope, inspiration, and some knowledge.
