Just watched "The Big Lebowski" about a month ago. Cool characters, pretty lame story.

Random events keep happening to "The Dude" that don't add up to a whole helluva lot.

Jeff Bridges as "Dude" and John Goodman as his crazed, gun-toting friend Walter are fun characters, but the movie is a trifle.

Agree, disagree or somewhere in between?

Gotta' respectfully disagree with you on that one, U.L.

For me, every note is pitch perfect. From the Chandler-esque red herrings of a "case" that barely exits to the bombastic yet oddly touching camaraderie between Dude, Walter, and Donnie to the quirky-yet-charming lunacy of L.A.'s rich nutballs (very accurate, by the way).

Even the little touches and nuances... the T.V. writer of Branded in the iron lung... the gritty politics of bowling...

I could go on and on.

Either way, my wife and I had an unhealthy phase where we watched this movie at least once a week for almost a year. Little in-home cult movie!
