Though I can't think of any particular examples with screenplays, I'd suggest the first thing to try is to actually watch that scene and write it yourself.
One way to expand tension is with quick cut lines separated by spaces.
THE HARBINGER
creeps forward.
Its legs bent backward.
On fours like an rabid animal.
Its eye glow menacingly.
Holly inches backward. In near shock.
Probably sucks but you get the idea.
