I just read The Beaver, Butter, and Fuckbuddies and of the three, The Beaver was my favorite.

In fact, it probably still stands as my favorite script ever.

I'm actually pretty optimistic about the Jodie Foster/Mel Gibson treatment. The tone of this script is going to be rather tough to pull off but both have quirky enough aspects to their individual resumes... here's hopin'!

Mine are Up in the Air and Inglourious Basterds and The Beaver.

I knew the moment I read them that I'm gonna be in an engaging experience.

I read The Beaver - and while I liked it and thought is was well written I think Mel Gibson is the wrong person to cast in this project. There's too much baggage with him. I think a general audience can still stomach him in an action / thriller film but this is a smaller niche movie that should have been made with someone with more acting chops and less baggage.

Has anyone else read Fuck Buddies? The dialog was funny but other than that it seemed lost. Maybe it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Does anyone have a current link to the 2009 scripts? I found one at one time but then it was taken down.

Though I didn't get to read them all, my fave was The Oranges.

I thought the Beaver sucked. It was weird, and in a lot of areas unbelievable. I thought it would need a rewrite. Especially since the ending had nothing to do with the father.
