Did a little digging on "Rain Man's" screenwriter Barry Morrow via IMBD:

"A member of the Association of Retarded Citizens, the National Association of Social Workers, and the Austism Society of America, Mr. Morrow is a lifelong advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities."

Sounds like Barry Morrow is a pretty nice guy.
