Great to see Larry Cohen is in amongst them there. Could listen to him all day. This looks like a good companion piece for Dreams On Spec in the "brutally inspiring" category.

Darabont! YES! That man's scripts have taught me more about screenwriting than most of the books I've spent money on.

Saw this at the Austin Film Festival, with the filmmaker there. It was a wonderful experience, like the wisdom of ages washing over you. But it was very, very dark. You know the Orwell 1984 quote "Imagine a boot stomping on a human face -- forever?" That's how screenwriting in Hollywood is portrayed!

For those interested, around this time last year I purchased THE DIALOGUE: a series of interviews with working writers, I bought the whole thing for around 200 bucks; 27 dvd interviews, ranging from about 70 minutes to 90 minutes long. Not all of them are gems, but most are pretty darned good.
