Quickly wanted to add that one book I found utterly fascinating and invaluable was George Stevens, Jr.'s "The Great Moviemakers of Hollywood's Golden Age." From script to screen, the masters tell their stories, secrets, observations. It's just great. I am also composing a screenwriter's booklist for my workshop, which I'll pass on when done. It's a combination of the book titles culled here and also from my shelf and the shelves of my pals. Cheers, J
