It definitely marked Ben Stein as more than just a. Anyone? A speech writer. And reminded all of us of how exciting high school. Anyone, anyone know which class? Economics. Really was.

That parade. It is the most ridiculous, most senselessly happy scene of any movie I can think of. And everyone I've talked to loves it, and wants to be in the movie, in that parade. He's a genius for thinking that up.

@tanialidov: You inspired me. I've added the clip to the post. Enjoy!

The race to beat his dad home, and of course, the jail scene between jennifer grey and charlie sheen.

My favorite part is how they fool that jerk of a maitre'd into a table a Chez Nous at lunch with Ferris posing as Abe Froman, the Sausage King of Chicago.

@Scott. Oh wow, I've inspired! Yay! And now I can put on my headphones and watch it instead of working. I mean, I would never do that...

But yeah, I think that scene is genius. It tapped into some giddy, transporting universal fantasy. That, in my opinion, is a rare and remarkable thing to pull of.

My sister and I watched our video tape of Ferris Bueller's Day Off way too many times as kids, and to this day one of our favorite random movie quotes is "What kind of man do you think I am?" said by the shady parking garage attendant. I wouldn't say it's my favorite part of the movie, but there have been few family gatherings where this line hasn't been quoted, usually to the confusion of everyone but me and my sister.

Lisa: I love the Jennifer Grey - Charlie Sheen scene as well.

When Cameron was in Egypt's land...

also, the scene where the parking lot operator riding Cameron's father's car flies in the air to the Star Wars theme music. Hilarious.

"I've had nine sick day. If I go for ten, I'll probably have to barf up a lung, so I better make this one count." I lived my entire jr. high and high school career under the impression that I could be just like Ferris. And the nurse that likes to F#*K scene was funny too, especially when it was the sister that answered and the dumb nurse didn't even change her tone. What a moron!!!

Save Ferris!!
