The best way to discover your story and bring life to your characters is engage them directly. And the best way to do that is to ask questions about and to them. AND two of the best questions to ask are these: Who are you? What will you become? Also: What do you fear the most? And this: Why does THIS story HAVE to happen to THIS character at THIS time?
