Awesome!

Been seeing some GREAT GREAT trailers lately...

First, GENTLEMEN BRONCOS, easily the funniest trailer I've seen this year. Then, the upcoming Clooney film MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS.

Now this.

Gonna' be a fun fall/winter!

Hey Scott,

This is OFF TOPIC, but I was hoping you'd be able to help. Currenly I'm developing 5 new screenplay stories. Two of these stories are of animated/cartoon varriety.

So do you know a place I can read some animated scripts?

Thanks,

E.C., I'm not an expert in the field of animation. It used to be that Disney, which pretty much produced all the animated movies, only developed stories in-house. Then with the advent of other studios' animation departments, that thinking began to open up a bit. In fact, I've seen a few animation spec scripts sell in recent years. But my guess is they still work pretty much in-house (like Pixar which is all developed internally).

But as we talk about around here, if you write a great animation script, I'm sure the larger agencies have reps who handle that area.

One thing I would strongly recommend you do: Watch a ton of animated movies and read a ton of animation scripts. There's no point in writing an animation script unless you really know the genre. The story-telling principles are pretty much the same, but it is its own specialty.

Crikey, that looks TOTALLY WICKED.

I'll line up for that.

Couldn't he just take a bunch of laxatives and be done with the whole thing?
Kiwichick at 2009-08-30 18:47:13:
LOL @ Marvin. The thought did cross my mind too. However, I'm sure a script ed got in there and dealt to that issue. Surely. Or maybe they think the big 24hour clock ticking away is enough.

Anyway, looks totally worth my money, I'll be there. Great premise - innocent/vulnerable in a killer world.
