that would explain why there's been so many remakes, big budget movies, popcorn flicks, sequels, prequels, and a huge lack of good, quality, original movies these days. H'wood is just too scared to take a risk and invest in a new, fresh, original story that COULD flop at the B.O and they'll lose money.

Oh well.

I agree. The Independent Film world thrives because of this reason. We want to see good movies so now we make them ourselves.
