The good:
It looks like a pretty wide range of genres.

The bad:
Many will be pushed aside for Monopoly or Etch a Sketch.

May is the month to sell your drama. I'm already getting ready for next year.

Why are thrillers selling better than action? Action is doing well at the box office and many of this year's thrillers have tanked.

I don't get it.

The key genres - comedy, action, thriller - are consistently in top 3 sales and BO-wise year in and year out. There may be slumps here and there per poor choices in material, bad execution, poor marketing, etc, but a pre-established mindset in Hwood consistenly drives acquisitions toward those three genres.

Wow, so I guess I'm glad I kept my thriller at the top of the pile.

Maybe I should skip the rom com and finish the action film.

Rom-coms, as part of the comedy genre, are always viable as a spec script.
