Will it bring light/truth to the myth of whether or not one of the munchkin cast members hung themselves in the background during the forest scene? hehe.

Peter, check this out.

Interesting that the suicidal munchkin rumor didn't start till 1989 during the 50th anniversary. Always interested in the history. I've Done the Darkside of the Moon watch (was sober), and slow-mo'd the supposed suicide scene, both interesting reasons to watch the old classic haha. Thanks, Scott.

I hope this comes to Minneapolis. I would love to see this!

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would you show something in "high definition" in a movie theater? Isn't a film projection already a higher resolution than HD, which is intended for television screens?

To put it another way, film is the "highest definition" possible for image capture, AFAIK. So presumably a film projector would be capable of a higher "definition" than projecting HD.

Or maybe these screenings are meant as a launch for an HD release of the Wizard of Oz on blu-ray?
