I love that you explore this type of thing on the blog. I agree that ambient noise is great for creativity. I don't like silence when I write but too much noise is distracting. I have found numerous videos on YouTube that I use. I especially like the virtual fireplace with rain and thunderstorms. Clever idea that website with the café type noises. Thanks!

Great article. I am a big fan of ambient noise, especially for studying or writing. It just gives me the perfect background soundtrack that doesn't distract me from actually working. You forgot my favorite site however: www.ambient-mixer.com They have sounds for almost everything. The Harry Potter section is AMAZING! :D
