My Favorite Year was produced by Mel Brooks. More than likely it was based on his experiences as a writer of Your Show of Shows, which, of course, turned out three comedic national treasures... Brooks, Woody Allen, and Neil Simon.

And, of course, My Favorite Year IS one of the greatest movies of the 80's.

I love My Favorite Year. Peter O'Toole is fantastic. The whole cast is brilliant. And a great Act Three payoff.

I absolutely adore Freaks & Geeks. So do most people who have seen the cult show. It's just this wonderful little series that I knew I had to watch...and when I did this past year, it instantly become one of my favorites of ever.

I also loved Undeclared, which I watch shortly afterward.

Apatow, in my opinion, is a brilliant auteur. I have enjoyed everything he's ever made.

Wow, I like JUST watched "Just Friends" this weekend for the 1st time. Watched it JUST because I'm starting to become a HUGE fan of Ryan Reynolds.

Didn't really like the story in "Just Friends." Ryan Reynold's character, Chris, spit motivation: get Samanatha (Ana Ferris as a Britney Spears like character) to Paris v.s. his pursuit of his high school flame, Jamie (played by Amy Smart) JUST didn't work for me.

Totally see your bridge to "Get Him to the Greek" though. Good job with that! Hopefully "Get Him to the Greek" will do it better than "Just Friends" did. Judd Apatow and crew SHOULD give "Just Friends" a couple spins on the ole DVD player just to annalyze where this film fizzled.

Did LOVE Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart's performances in "Just Friends" however. It's just the set pieces, plot, and humor needed some work -- in my opinion.
