Solomon Kane director Michael J. Bassett has a really interesting, candid blog he keeps about film. I think he's an amazing talent and I loved his film DEATHWATCH as well as WILDERNESS. You should check it out:

Thanks, kgmadman. I'll post something from his blog tomorrow. Hope Solomon Kane gets a good distribution deal. And please forward any other good movie blogs, especially anything re screenwriting.

Saw Peter Jackson give a quick interview on the news last night re: Comic-Con - he spoke of his nerves 'knees knocking' etc before he went on to talk to the fans. And then I read your post re: Michael J. Bassett talking about his uncomfortable moments too. Loving the transparency and honestly from the big dudes.

Scott,

Last week Mashable did a list of their favorite Twitter feeds from directors. I personally don't like Twitter, but the list is pretty useful in finding who keeps a blog or live journal:

If I track anything good down I'll send it your way.

Kiwichick,

Lately if I see a good indie flick I'll find out the writer or director and track down their blog or facebook to give kudos. It's amazing how many of these people who really are the next generation of filmmakers keep these little blogs that nobody pays attention to and rarely do people reach out to show support. I recommend trying it; I've had some interesting conversations and met some incredibly talented people this way.

Thanks for that, kgmadman.
