It's been a long time since I've seen Bull Durham and you've just reminded me what a good movie it is, so thanks, but I always liked Crash's line:

"How come in former lifetimes, everybody was someone famous? How come nobody ever says they were Joe Schmo?"

It rang true on several levels for me, made me laugh like a drain, and I still quote it at people when the situation permits.

Bull Durham is one of my very favourite films and I've never been to America or seen a baseball game ;)

The dialogue is funky and clever and the chemistry with Susan Sarandon and Costner makes them getting together just so much more hot at the end when they do.

Ah, great dialogue.
