It's an interesting question and I would answer the same thing: yes, it's good to read a bit of both because we learn from everything. When I worked as a translator (of scripts and subtitles), I would usually have a notebook at hand (every one of my projects has their own personal notebook) so that I could take notes for myself. Being the appointed translator of two guys who can't write nor direct their way out of a paper bag, the job was a dreadful chore to get through but immensely helpful in what NOT to do. Still, reading lots of bad scripts also gets tedious and will wear you down because of the simple fact that, hey, this terrible script was bought and produced while mine is still gathering dust so yeah, always balance it out with a great script or book.

I think you are better off reading good scripts rather than bad ones. It will get you into good habits quicker. However an analysis of why scripts are bad is also useful.
