HAGRID: Poof. HARRY: Poof. (Hagrid puts down his glass and falls asleep.) SLUGHORN: It was a student who gave me Francis. One spring afternoon I discovered a bowl on my desk. Just a few inches of clear water in it. Floating on the surface was a flower petal. As I watched, it sank. Just before it reached the bottom, it was transformed to a wee fish. It was beautiful magic, wondrous to behold. The flower petal had come from a lily...your mother. The day I came downstairs, the day the bowl was empty, was the day your mother... I know why you're here, but I can't help you. It would ruin me. HARRY: Do you know why I survived, Professor, the night I got this? Because of her. Because she sacrificed herself. You have no idea what he was like, even then. DIALOGUE ON DIALOGUE: In this scene, everyone is under the influence. Hagrid and Professor Slughorn have been drinking alcohol, while Harry is under the influence of Felix Felicis ("Liquid Luck"). Professor Slughorn bears a great burden from his past, and up to this point has managed to keep it a secret, but the combination of the alcohol and the influence given to Harry by the Liquid Luck is too much and the Professor finally breaks down and gives Harry what he wants. This is a scene where a jolly mood turns somber, and a character who had seemed distant and aloof is revealed to be under the burden of regret and the fear of discovery.

Pffffffff... I "love" Greek subtitles. They're notoriously horrible and off the mark. I think every 3rd one has the right idea LOL
