thedchen, I hope one thing you can take away from this experience is... you can do this. You can pound out a story. You fend off voices of negativity. You can put your creative nose to the grindstone each day and produce pages. You can bend back the delimiting influence of perfectionism and procrastination... And get from FADE IN to FADE OUT. Is it great to have a structure like this, a 30 day challenge? Is it comforting to know there are others sharing this journey? Is it helpful to read words of inspiration each day and win Trumbo Awards and partake of creative juju? Yes, by all means. But in some very real way, each of the stories we are writing... They are about that most existential experience of planting butt on chair... And writing pages. So thedchen, after you write those next 2 pages, you are MORE than welcome to continue visiting this blog. There will be more ZD30 Challenges to come, of this I have no doubt. But bottom line, YOU will have done this. YOU. When you type FADE OUT, I hope you sit for a moment... maybe even a few moments... And revel in the quiet power of that fact. I was wondering what sort of blog post I'd write at the end of this crazy 30 day journey. I think I just wrote it! So thank YOU, thedchen! and fade out. wow. never expected that i would manage that. 91 pages. still got a few rewrites to do, but i actually managed to write a feature screenplay - beginning to end, something I have been planning to do for too many years and never managed. now i have. long may it continue, i will attempt to carry on setting myself tasks like this and see how much i can get done. thanks to everyone and especially Scott!

HOLY CRAP! I did it. A female buddy comedy in 30 days. It's amazing what looking at the damn calendar and knowing you have to put a check in the box will do to make you stop checking your email, the internet and all the other crutches we pick up instead of writing. But, damnit, I did it. I'm going to go have a drink (coffee, sorry), then print out a new calendar. Cheers to everyone who was part of this; and especially to you Scott.
