I added his site to my list of rss feed email notification thingies, so whenever he updates I get an alert. The advice he gives is perfect...short, sweet, and snarky. Love it.

Xander, quick question: What percentage of the scripts that you read are total crap? 98%? Or 99%?

Of the slush pile? That sounds about right.

But I often get to cover already produced/sold scripts as writing samples, and the hit rate is much higher. Even if I don't love them, there's almost always something I can point to and go 'this is why this sold'.
