Okay, I figured it out. Must have been my bad. I changed the settings on my MacBook Pro tracking pad to touch, not click, and I guess I must have messed with the settings when doing the post. Anyhow it's all good now.

Comments are back. Phew. :) Day 5 in Italy. Yesterday, I wrote from page 11 to page 18. Today, I aim for page 23. Let's get to work!

Due to the slip-up on my part, I whipped up an extra special batch of creative juju.

I wrote the first four scenes. Didn't go well. Felt kind of depressed after. I screamed at a couple strangers for no reason which made me feel better.

Scott are you teaching classes on scene description any time soon?

I'm sorry but the "screaming at strangers" thing made me laugh ^^ I get where you're coming from, though, and it's not healthy to keep the negative bottled up inside. But maybe scream at a cushion next time? ;) As for me, the prep work is going great and I'll be ready for my first pages on Monday (a rewrite).

Bit of a bad day/night yesterday for day 4, felt very lax at the end of it having only three pages done... still, interesting to see I wasn't alone in having a naff day. Must be the planets or something. Today/night will be better! Onward!!!

If you must begin, then go all the way... I am at that point in my life with writing, gratefully. Life IS risky business, but what am I risking really? Complacency? Moments of procrastination... A false sense of comfort under my security blanket? What do I truly have to lose but time. And all those words never to be written. So much more to gain when you risk it all, including fear. Feeling philosophical. Better get goin' while the creative juju is flowin'. (love the 300 meme)

Good morning. Last night in my writing session things started off slow and tough. But after a labored page and a half or so, it started flowing better and I ended up with 4 more pages. I'll take it. Keep up the good work, everybody!

Early checkin... Okay, day/night 4 was a bit naff, but so far what is already day 5 for me (and us all on this side of the pond) is shaping up to be a very productive day... will give my count when the night shift is done :-) I love it when I get into the 'zone' which always seems to happen when I least expect it :-) Onward!!! :-)

Haven't gotten to anything today, but I pushed out 12 or so pages for a 30ish page 1/2 hour pilot. Definitely a vomit draft, just words on the page that are going to be changed! Through today I've outlined the pilot, have a whole bunch of ideas on where the actual series can go, etc. Hoping to get in the zone again today and push out the rest of the pilot!

I have a one-week class called Scene Description Spotlight, part of my Craft courses at Screenwriting Masters Class. I will be teaching that some time in Feb or March 2016. Massive headache. Massive workload on work today. Just came home and barely pushed out a page. The thing is, this draft is teaching me who the characters are, and a page feels like ten. Just knowing that I would find some comments, thoughts and inspiration here helped a lot today.

Nice, Karl. In thinking about it, sometimes fear can help spur creative thinking, even creative life decisions. You mention the specter of our eventual deaths. There’s something about that which incite us to get off our asses (actually ON our asses) and write. I recall my last year at Yale, my 7th consecutive year of academic training. Driving up to campus and having this palpable feeling in my gut as I walked into the school from the parking lot. Something like dread. That was accompanied by a recurring image in my mind: An older version of me seated at beautiful desk, a single banker’s type lamp (I like the dark) in my study which is filled with bookcases, floor to ceiling. I am reclined in my chair, caught up in thought. And there in the corner is my guitar case, collecting dust. As I processed that with my friends and faculty, I came to realize that I was afraid if I did not pursue my interest in music, I would live to regret. It was that FEAR which led me to take a year off from my plan to get a Ph.D. and be a university professor and explore my creative aspirations. That year has become the rest of my life. So fear of writing, understandable, but a negative influence. However fear NOT writing and what that prospect could mean to us, that can be a positive.

Ricardo, between the blog, Twitter and the Facebook group, there are a sea of helpful comments and inspirational notes. Remember: The only way out is through.

Guys these overnight shooting days are killing me lol. But despite the hecticnature of set, I was able to get out 1.5 pages yesterday. I had to fight for those pages and the time to write them, like a true Spartan haha
