I like this post and your note to it! Thanks! I was suprised to see that when reading it, the lines worked for me as a joke and when I watched the scene, the film didnīt do that for me. It could be so because I had read them first. But I think itīs something else: I think itīs the actor. Heīs just not such a comic talent. When the film was first released, I remember not liking it as much as I had hoped (usually love Kaufmann-stuff) because of the lead.
