The great thing about the design of this scene, is the genius way that they show genius at work. The mix of music, while they're creating the music, is just what it was: a flash of genius from the scriptwriters. My FAV scene is from Blade Runner. Corny as it seems now (a little bit), my favorite scene in Blade Runner is at the end when the antagonist is doing his monologue. He says something to the effect that memories are like tears in rain. This is a great philosophical thought that shows us everything that makes us a unique individual is gone when we pass. People might remember some of the things we did, but they won't remember who we were as a unique individual; that thought is worth some slight corniness.
