Blow - "George Gets Cut Out Of The Loop" Screenplay by Nick Cassavetes, David McKenna Book [Blow: How a Small Town Boy Made $100 Million with the Medellín Cocaine Cartel and Lost It All] by Bruce Porter URL: http://youtu.be/DFAiP9INgao EXT. NORMAN CAY - BAHAMAS - DUSK George cruises through the turquoise water of the Caribbean in a sport fisherman. Before him is Norman Cay. White sand beaches. Beautiful. Pristine. Waiting for him is Cesar. CESAR: Welcome my friend. It's been a long time. GEORGE: Don't touch me. INT. THE YACHT CLUB - CONTINUOUS The Yacht Club is a tavern style bar that juts out over the water. The crimson sky streaks the windows. Diego looks like Che Guevara. His hair is long, and a graying beard sticks through his gaunt face. The bar has been taken over by Diego's BANDITOS. Automatic weapons and PROSTITUTES accent this drunken setting. George is escorted through the door by Cesar, and the room quiets. All eyes on Diego and George. Diego rises up from sniffing cocaine. DIEGO: Hey, happy to see you, George... My brother. GEORGE: No more brothers, Diego. DIEGO: Why do you say that? Huh? You hurt me, George. Of course we are brothers. GEORGE: You fucked me. DIEGO: I did not. (Chuckles) I didn't. GEORGE: You went behind my back. You cut me out -- you fucked me. DIEGO: Me? No, never George. (Chuckles) Never... GEORGE: I talked to Derek. There is a pause. Diego scoops up a cringer with his pinky and sniffs. DIEGO: Well, Maybe you're right. Maybe I did betray you a little bit. Everyone laughs. George is furious. He starts to tremble and his face turns red. DIEGO: Yeah... Yeah, I stole your California connection. So what? Hm? Who introduced you to Pablo Escobar? Hm? Me. Me. Who introduced you to your fucking Colombian wife? Hm? Me. Who protect you when my friend Cesar Roza wanted to slice your fucking throat, huh? Me. Who made you make millions and millions of dollars? Me. And what do I get in return? This? Accusations? I have always given you everything, George. Always... but that is over now... Y'know this is my operation, my dream. So go home... Go back home -- go home, go back to your stupid little life. Go back and sell half grams to your relatives for all I care because you are out of... George lunges at Diego and is immediately grabbed. DIEGO: Because you're out! And don't be so emotional, George. We're brothers. We are brothers. George puts his gun to his temple and -- CLICK. Nothing happens. Diego says something to his men in Spanish. GEORGE: They next time it's fucking loaded. They lead him away. DIEGO: Bye. Bye. Bye... Bye. Bye... Bye. Bye. -- SCENE -- Dialogue on Dialogue: Just a classic pivot in movies of this genre--but with Johnny Depp. Two men confide in one another when they're locked up in prison. They get out. Start making money. Then one wants it all for himself. Depp's new film 'Black Mass' will be out later this year and this is a solid performance from his pre-swashbuckling days.

THE SOCIAL NETOWRK (2010) written by: Aaron Sorkin, based on the book by: Ben Mezrich Mark Zuckerberg: You signed the papers. Eduardo Saverin: [almost in tears] You set me up. Mark Zuckerberg: You're gonna blame me because you were the business head of the company and you made a bad business deal with your own company? Eduardo Saverin: This is gonna be like I'm not a part of Facebook! Sean Parker: It won't be like you're not a part of Facebook. You're not a part of Facebook. Eduardo Saverin: My name's on the masthead. Sean Parker: You might wanna check again. Eduardo Saverin: Just because I froze the account? Sean Parker: Did you think we were going to let you parade around in your ridiculous suits pretending you were running this company? Eduardo Saverin: [cutting him off; screaming] Sorry! My Prada's at the cleaners! Along with my hoodie and my 'fuck you' flip-flops, you pretentious douchebag! Sean Parker: Security's here, you'll be leaving now. Eduardo Saverin: I'm not signing those papers. Sean Parker: We will get the signature. Eduardo Saverin: [to Mark] Tell me this isn't about me getting into the Phoenix. [Mark scoffs] Eduardo Saverin: [in disbelief] You... You did it! I knew you did it! You planted that story about the chicken! Mark Zuckerberg: I didn't plant the story about the chicken. Sean Parker: What's he talking about? Eduardo Saverin: You had me accused of animal cruelty. Sean Parker: Seriously, what the hell's the chicken? Eduardo Saverin: [leans down close to Mark, his voice low and dangerous] And I'll bet what you hated the most was that they identified me as a co-founder of Facebook, which I am. You better lawyer up asshole, because I'm not coming back for 30%, I'm coming back for EVERYTHING. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=551kYG2myoU Dialogue on Dialogue it's one thing getting screwed out of your own company, but getting screwed by your best friend, too? If anything, Eduardo underreacted to the whole situation... brought to life by the powerful acting of Andrew Garfield.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) Screenplay by Jeffrey Boam, Story by George Lucas and Menno Meyjes Youtube - https://youtu.be/28-uEqYpoAY Indiana Jones: Elsa… Colonel Vogel: That’s far enough, put down the gun Doctor Jones. Put down the gun or the Fraulein dies. Professor Henry Jones: But she's one of them. Elsa: Indy, please! Professor Henry Jones: She's a Nazi. Indiana Jones: What? Professor Henry Jones: Trust me. Elsa: Indy…no! Colonel Vogel: I will kill her! Professor Henry Jones: Oh yeah? Go ahead. Indiana Jones: No! Don't shoot! Professor Henry Jones: Don't worry. He won't. Elsa: Indy, please do what he says! Professor Henry Jones: And don't listen to her. Colonel Vogel: Enough! She dies! Indiana Jones: Wait! Wait. [Indy tosses over the gun. Vogel lets Elsa go and she runs right into Indy's arms] Elsa: I'm sorry. Indiana Jones: Don't be. [Elsa takes the grail diary from Indy's pocket, smiles, and move back to Vogel] Elsa: But you should have listened to your father. Comment: This is a perfect example of how a Turning Point should work in a movie. The audience is taken down one path; Indy has found his Dad and almost rescues him and then BAM a huge turning point; betrayal by the beautiful woman and we are off in a completely different direction.

The Godfather (1972 -- Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola) and The Godfather, Part II (1974 -- Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola) Actually, you could just show both movies, but here are some scenes. Garden scene (tells of coming betrayal, which saves Michael's life, and SPOILER ALERT, sets in motion the five families/baptism montage): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuWkcKbBQkg They walk through the DON's vegetable garden. Tomatoes, peppers, carefully tended, and covered with a silky netting. MICHAEL follows; the DON turns and looks at him. Then stoops over to right a tomato plant that had been pushed over. DON CORLEONE Barzini will move against you first. MICHAEL How? DON CORLEONE He will get in touch with you through someone you absolutely trust. That person will arrange a meeting, guarantee your safety... He rises, and looks at Michael... DON CORLEONE ...and at that meeting you will be assassinated. Tessio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d30Y0n1nDH4 The TWO MEN walk out onto the Mall, toward a car. On their way they are stopped by TWO BODYGUARDS. BUTTON MAN The boss says he'll come in a separate car. He says for you two to go on ahead. TESSIO (frowning) Hell, he can't do that. It screws up all my arrangements. THREE MORE BODYGUARDS appear around him. HAGEN (gently) I can't go with you either, Tessio. He flashes at the men surrounding him; for a moment he panics, and then he accepts it. TESSIO (after the pause) Tell Mike it was business...I always liked him. HAGEN He understands that. TESSIO looks at the men, and then pauses. TESSIO (softly) Tom, can you get me off the hook? For old times' sake? HAGEN I can't. HAGEN turns, and walks away from the group. Then about twenty paces away, he stops, and looks back. TESSIO is led into a waiting car. HAGEN looks away, and walks off. Fredo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjUOBVAbGhQ INT. PRESIDENTIAL PALACE - FULL VIEW ON THE GUESTS - NIGHT seeing in the New Year; a great banner is hoisted up in Spanish, welcoming 1959. Hands are shaken; kisses exchanged. MED. CLOSE VIEW Michael and Fredo in an embrace; they kiss one another. MICHAEL I've arranged for a plane; we're going to Miami in an hour. Try not to make a big thing of it. He kisses his brother once again. MICHAEL (Sicilian) I know it was you, Fredo. You've broken my heart. Slowly, understanding, Fredo backs away from his brother, taking the kiss another way.
