Chicken Little (2005) Mark Dindal, Mark Kennedy (story); Steve Bencich, Ron J. Friedman, Ron Anderson (screenplay); Robert L. Baird, Daniel Gerson (additional story material); Sara Parriott, Josann McGibbon (additional screenplay material); David Reynolds, Sandra Tsing Loh (additional dialogue) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_gXDdwDG7A CHICKEN LITTLE: Fish. ABBY: Fish. RUNT: Ahh! Where are you, Fish? ABBY/CHICKEN LITTLE: Ssshhhhh!!! RUNT: I can't handle the pressure! Go on without me. I don't want to jeopardize the mission, endanger us all. Throw me overboard while you still have a chance. Just leave me some ammo, a little water, some chips if you have 'em. ABBY: Calm, calm. It's okay. CHICKEN LITTLE: Where's your bag? Where's your bag? Runt breathes into a paper bag, then chokes. CHICKEN LITTLE/ABBY: Slowly! ABBY: Okay, now just do the thing you do to relax. Runt begins singing lyrics to "Stayin' Alive." RUNT: Aaaahhh! Fish appears from behind an X-ray panel. GROUP: Fish! CHICKEN LITTLE/ABBY: Fish, are you okay? ABBY: Did they hurt you? Say something! CHICKEN LITTLE: Don't tap the glass. They hate it when you do that. ABBY: Great, let's get out of here. (Gasp) Where's Runt? Runt stands before a map of the solar system with planets crossed out, whimpering. CHICKEN LITTLE: We're next... Runt faints. DIALOGUE ON DIALOGUE: Although Chicken Little is the (sort of) main character and namesake for the film, the story really involves three almost co-equal protagonists: Chicken Little, Abby Mallard and Runt of the Litter. Runt is by far the most imposing physically, but is the least courageous, and it's his comic trepidation that provides the hysterics in this scene. (Side Note: Runt is voiced by Steve Zahn, whose role just prior to this film was as Al Giordino in Sahara, a character who is the polar opposite of Runt.)

I had a flat tire. I...I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GAAAAWWWWWWWDDDDDD!

Movie – Little Miss Sunshine (2006) Written by Michael Arndt Youtube - https://youtu.be/zcLlq4Lml7A Olive: [going over eye test pamphlets] Mom, Dwayne's got 20/20 vision! Sheryl: I bet he does... Olive: OK, now I’m going to check to see if you're colorblind. [opens the pamphlet] Olive: What's the letter in the circle? [Dwayne looks confused] Olive: No, no inside the circle, right there, see? It’s an A. Can’t you see it? Right there. Frank: It's bright green. Oh man. [Dwayne scribbles anxiously on his notepad - "What?"] Frank: Dwayne, I think you might be colorblind. [pause, Dwayne holds up his notepad again - "What?"] Frank: You can't fly jets if you're colorblind. [Dwayne immediately falls into an emotional breakdown] Frank: Ah, we’ve got a little bit of a…Ok, we’ve got an emergency back here. I think we just need pull over man, just pull over. Richard: What’s the emergency? We’re late as it is… Frank: Dwayne, Dwayne it’s alright. [screams to Richard] Just pullover the car, I’m not kidding! Richard: Ok, Ok. Frank: Would you get him to pullover please? Sheryl: Richard, pullover the car. Frank: Richard, pullover the car. Sheryl: It’s alright honey we’re pulling over. Richard: I’m pulling over. [Dwayne tries to get out of the moving van] Frank: No, wait, wait. Just sit down. Richard: God, this better be good, I’m pulling over. Alright, alright. Sheryl: Stop the car! Are you going to be Ok Dwayne? Dwayne? Oh God. Dwayne: [runs from the van] FUUUUUUCK! Fuck! No, no…. Sheryl: What happened? Frank: He's colorblind. He can't fly. Sheryl: Oh, Jesus... oh, no. Comment - Well if you're going to break a 9 month self-imposed code of silence, you might as well be hysterical while doing it. Great scene from a great movie.

Meet the Parents (2000) Written by Jim Herzfeld and John Hamburg (based on the 1992 story and screenplay by Greg Glienna and Mary Ruth Clarke) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pofUsd9hEi8 Flight Attendant: I'm sorry, sir, you're going to have to check that. Greg: I got it. Flight Attendant: No, I'm sorry, that bag won't fit. Greg: I'm not checking my bag, okay? Flight Attendant: There's no need to raise your voice, sir. Greg: I'm not raising my voice. THIS WOULD BE RAISING MY VOICE TO YOU, okay? I don't want to check my bag, okay? And by the way, your airline, you suck at checking bags. Because I already did that once and you lost it, and then I had everything screwed up very badly for me. Flight Attendant: Well, I can assure you that your bag will be placed safely below deck with the other luggage. Greg: Oh yeah? How do you know my bag will be safe below with the other luggage? Huh? Are you physically going to take my bag and put it beneath the plane? Are you going to go, right now, outside, with the guys with the earmuffs and go put it in there? Flight Attendant: No. Greg: No? Okay, then shut your pie hole and listen to me when I say I am finished with the checking of the bags conversation! Flight Attendant: Sir, we have a policy on this airline that if a bag is this large— Greg: Okay, you know what, get your grubby little paws off of my bag. It's not like I have a bomb in here, it's not like I want to blow up the plane. Flight Attendant: Sir! Greg: I just want to stow my bag according to your safety regulations! Flight Attendant: Sir, sir! Greg: If you would take a second and take the little sticks out of your head and clean out your ears, and maybe you would see that I'm a person who has feelings, and all I have to do is do what I want to do, and all I want to do is hold onto my bag and not listen to you! And the only way I would let go of my bag would be if you came over here right now and tried to pry it from my dead, lifeless fingers, okay? If you can get it from my kung-fu grip, then you can come and have it. Otherwise, step off, bitch!

Finding Nemo (2003) Original story by Andrew Stanton, screenplay by Andrew Stanton, Bob Peterson and David Reynolds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWXOurnVTYg Excited about his first day of school, Nemo accidentally gets stuck in a tube coral... MARLIN: Nemo, don't move! Don't move! You'll never get out of there yourself. I'll do it. All right, where's the break? You feel a break? NEMO: No. MARLIN: Sometimes you can't tell 'cause fluid is rushing to the area. Now, any rushing fluids? NEMO: No. MARLIN: Are you woozy? NEMO: No. MARLIN: How many stripes do I have? NEMO: I'm fine. MARLIN: Answer the stripe question! NEMO: Three. MARLIN: No! See, something's wrong with you. I have one, two, three—that's all I have? Dialogue on Dialogue: Marlin is generally a hysterical character, one who's paralyzingly afraid of everything in his world. This scene particularly makes me laugh because it's a subtle indication that his ongoing fear is unfounded -- he doesn't actually know what the reality is.
