Reminds me of MY SO CALLED LIFE meets THE HILLS... but, about music.

What's GOOD is the fact that is at least a RETURN to music and not another series having absolutely nothing to do with the current music scene.

Sounds like a smart investment and direction for the network to go.

Anyone who has seen or read HUSTLE & FLOW knows C.Brewer is an exceptionally taleted writer and director.

Sounds good on paper and the trailer looks good. Will the fans embrace it? Time will tell. But hats off for whomever greenlit this out-of-the-box idea.

Everything about this is terrific and I've preached "local is the new global" for years. Personal storytelling and musicmaking is going the have to go SOMEwhere - - TV and the web are the most obvious outlets. Can somebody make a LIVING that way is where the jury continues to be out. With "globalism" basically a big bust now that the world's economy is a giant divot that can't be replaced, local will HAVE to be the new global.

Sounds good to me.

Oh and Brewer is a genius. Hustle and Flow and Black Snake Moan completely blew me away.

As a Memphian, it's super exciting seeing my town, my favorite local bands, my roller derby league, and neighborhood featured like this.

I can only hope that $5 Cover makes other people as excited about all of the great things coming from Memphis as I am.
