I have a soft spot for that perennial drive-in classic called
"Kingdom of the Spiders" with Shatner from '77. Totally preposterous yet oddly affecting.

For the record, Roger Corman hates it when people say he makes B movies. Not because he doesn't think his movies were cheap. Or that some of them weren't corny.

B movies were a studio thing. Back when they owned their own theaters as well. The second part of the double feature (the "B" feature) were done cheap and just needed to come in on time and on budget. So they got a little crazier.

B movies were part of the system. Corman prides himself on being an independent filmmaker. He feels that tying him to the studio system with the "B" tag is an insult, since he didn't work for the studios.

Although these days that's probably overly pedantic.
