oh I do love this movie. One of the first movies I watched - thanks to the influence of my dad :) Now I need to watch this again! Nicholson (alec guiness) is one of my favorite characters.

Agreed, Kenny. One thing this 50s series has done is remind me how diverse the movies were. Surprising, too, because we tend to think of that era (in the U.S.) for its emphasis on conformity. But just look at the slate of movies covered in the series. Quite different in nature, end to end.
