I saw it last weekend. I’d give it a good solid three stars. The movie’s pretty violent and gritty but not much worse than the latest Batman. Having read the graphic novel, I figured that there was no way that it could be made into a movie but Zack Snyder pulled it off. It suffers a little from compression, there’s a lot of ground to cover. But all in all, worth a look. IMAX is the way to go if you have one nearby.

I saw the movie opening weekend -- very much all about the "eye candy" -- it's a great looking film.

My take on the story -- was mixed because it had a sour note on humanity "we need to save ourselves from ourselves." Really? I'd like to think when push comes to shove we can find a hero laying inside us...but, I'm forever an optimist.

my immediate reaction to Watchmen is to feel haunted by the intense style and storyline -- haunted in a good way that is... overall i loved it
