I would indeed sign up (this is in the "shut up and take my money" category to me) -- if it weren't the one weekend during the summer when I have a wedding to attend! Grr.

Laura, I actually was thinking of a second date which would be the 17th through the 19th. If that worked better for people, I could explore that with the venue.

Hi Scott, Just a thought, but would you ever entertain the notion of holding one of these workshops via Skype or the like so international members of the GITS community could get involved? I guess it could turn out to be a bit of a nightmare if I.T. gremlins crept into the works and people kept dropping out of the conversation, but Skype does seem pretty robust to me these days, so could be an option. Would miss out on the drinks afterwards though!

Sean, would love to be able to figure out how to do this. But you're right, the reliability issue is considerable. When I'm in a room with writers, I have 100% confidence in what can transpire. Via Skype? It's great, as you know from some SMC classes, but can't have the tech concern hanging over our heads. Hm...

Scott, this sounds great. I'm definitely interested in the July 17-19 workshop. I'd email you directly, but I can't find your address.

Several of the others couldn't do July 17-19, so I'm focusing on 24-26th. Is that doable for you? Email: GITSblog at gmail dot com.

Hi Scott, how many people are you enrolling for this and how many places are still available?
Scott at 2015-05-23 02:27:48:
I generally cap it at 10. Looking for 2 more to hit a minimum of 8. It's a workshop, so have to have enough participants to achieve a level of weight for the critique and feedback loop, but not so many that we can't do everyone's story justice. Between 8-10 is an ideal number I've found. So to confirm: Looking for 2 more to greenlight the workshop. 4 more hits the cap. Will say there are a couple of people not on the reserved list who have inquired. You never know about these things, but it's getting close.
