I'd love to write up Rebel Without a Cause (1955) or the Paul Newman/Elizabeth Taylor led Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958). Both personal favorites. The later was obviously adapted from a Tennessee Williams play, with fantastic conflict in a very limited setting. Let me know if either of these will work.
