I haven't seen the movie yet (top of my list for tomorrow), but just finished the screenplay and it was a joy to read. Thanks for posting Scott, I'm looking forward to this analysis.

The script was a Nicholl winner (2010). As we will learn, I'm sure, in our discussion, Cretton spent 2 years working in a group home. Many of the incidents in the script based on real life experiences.

It is obvious that the writer has a good deal of passion and experience around the subject. What I liked about the screenplay is that Cretton took what could have been a very dark, depressing setting and brought a lightness to the story that doesn't take away from the seriousness of it.
