I remember the first time I watched this movie. It was so disturbing and yet felt very real at the same time that I had to turn it off. To this day, I've never gone back to finish it.

I just realized why I hate that golf course across the street.

I'm sure the only reason that movie got produced was because Michael Douglas was willing to play that role. It's something he has done throughout his career, a willingness to play bad guy Protagonists. Many actors would NEVER have agreed to play the role of Bill Foster. For whatever reason, Douglas has embraced exploring the dark side of humanity.
