The very first one I thought of was 1993's Groundhog Day with Bill Murray as weather reporter Phil Conners who must relive Groundhog Day every day until he "gets it right."

Tom, that's a great example of a frustration comedy.

Just about any Ben Stiller movie ... but the one I like is FLIRTING WITH DISASTER ...

Maybe not the greatest movie ever, but I'm quite partial to Joe Mantegna in Baby's Day Out. My favorite frustrated characters are from TV though, Eddie Albert as Oliver Douglas and Dick York as Darren Stevens.

Flirting With Disaster! That definitely goes on my Daily Dialogue to do list. As does Groundhog Day. Hell, I'll throw Baby's Day Out on the list, too.

What about "Weekend at Bernie's?"

I'd probably include "The Hot Rock" (1972) in there...

I'm trying to come up with a screwball comedy that wouldn't fit this description and am coming up short. But the first three you mention wouldn't be called screwball comedies. So I guess screwball is a subset of frustration comedies.
