One of my favourite scenes of all time, because it's all about character. The tension between Bourne the spy (all the things he knows) and Bourne the bewildered human being, who doesn't understand how *anyone* could know all this stuff, is brought out perfectly.

Concur, Debbie, a great dynamic tension in this movie, a complete and total embrace of a Protagonist beginning in a state of Disunity and their ensuing journey to discover who they are. Almost all movies have this dynamic at work. The Bourne Identity is in some ways a paradigmatic example.
