I remember hearing about this, and my immediate thought then and now is still "...does Matthew McConaughey speak french?" I can just hear him in my head "D'accord, d'accord d'accord...." Maybe there's a body swap thing going on here, so at the same time Quincy gets injured, Matthew M gets injured as well, so while Quincy thinks he's an amnesiac movie star, Matthew M thinks he's a french barber who just happened to wake up in Hollywood. So the two have to find each other. And that's a guy/guy switch. If you made it guy/girl, there could be a romance angle there, sort of a Notting Hill type thing. You were talking about switching up actors, well, there's TONS of actors that everyone does impressions of, so I can picture maybe Quincy getting sent to a ward where everyone there thinks that they're famous actors. They would probably all have to be dead famous actors though ("i-i-i- can't believe that they'd lock up Jimmy Shtewart!") OR the actual actors themselves, so the guy who thinks he's Steve Buscemi is actually Steve Buscemi or what have you, then the REAL actors in that world are played by impressionists or something. That could be interesting. Another stray thought entered my mind, that Scarlett Johannson and Christopher Walken look a lot alike. Which is weird to say, but they do. There's an interesting body swap, they wouldn't even have to think each other is a famous actor, maybe long-lost relations or something who only find out about each other due to this weird psychic coincidence.
