Not sure if this fits the motif you are looking for but it is a favorite punishment scene of mine: From the movie Taken: Bryan: [to Marko, while preparing him for torture] You know, we used to outsource this kind of thing. But what we found was the countries we outsourced to had unreliable power grids. Very Third World. You'd turn on a switch - power wouldn't come on, and then tempers would get short. People would resort to pulling fingernails. Acid drips on bare skin. The whole exercise would become counterproductive. But here, the power's stable. Here, there's a nice even flow. Here, you can flip a switch and the power stays on all day. Where is she? Youtube clip: http://youtu.be/08jA5IG9ju0 I really like how Liam Neeson is so businesslike in this scene, here is the man who he talked with on the phone after his daughter was taken and his focus is solely on finding out where she is now, not revenge.

FULL METAL JACKET (1987) screenplay by Stanley Kubrick, Michael Herr, and Gustav Hasford, based on the novel The Short Timers by Hasford HARTMAN: Trim 'em...Toejam!...Pop that blister!...Jesus H. Christ! Private Pyle, why is your footlocker unlocked? PYLE: Sir, I don't know, sir! HARTMAN: Private Pyle, if there is one thing in this world that I hate, it is an unlocked footlocker! You know that, don't you? PYLE: Sir, yes, sir! HARTMAN: If it wasn't for dickheads like you, there wouldn't be any thievery in this world, would there? PYLE: Sir, no, sir! HARTMAN: Get down!.. Well, now .. . let's just see if there's anything missing! Holy Jesus! What is that? What is that, Private Pyle?! PYLE: Sir, a jelly doughnut, sir! HARTMAN: A jelly doughnut?! PYLE: Sir, yes, sir! HARTMAN: How did it get here? PYLE: Sir, I took it from the mess hall, sir! HARTMAN: Is chow allowed in the barracks, Private Pyle? PYLE: Sir, no, sir! HARTMAN: Are you allowed to eat jelly doughnuts, Private Pyle? PYLE: Sir, no, sir! HARTMAN: And why not, Private Pyle? PYLE: Sir, because I'm too heavy, sir! HARTMAN: Because you are a disgusting fatbody, Private Pyle! PYLE: Sir, yes, sir! HARTMAN: Then why did you hide a jelly doughnut in your footlocker, Private Pyle? PYLE: Sir, because I was hungry, sir! HARTMAN: Because you were hungry! Private Pyle has dishonored himself and dishonored the platoon! I have tried to help him, but I have failed! I have failed because you have not helped me! You people have not given Private Pyle the proper motivation! So, from now on, whenever Private Pyle fucks up, I will not punish him, I will punish all of you! And the way I see it, ladies, you owe me for one jelly doughnut! Now, get on your faces! Open your mouth! They're paying for it, you eat it! Ready . . . exercise! RECRUITS: One, two, three, four! I love the Marine Corps! One, two, three, four! I love the Marine Corps! One, two, three, four! I love the Marine Corps! One, two, three, four . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NP8y63Ms4o The heavy regimentation in the dialogue - the way the recruits are forced to speak and the way Hartman humiliates them - carries its own punishment.
