Hahaha hahaha I love this scene! My favorite line is:Josephine: But... you're not a girl. You're a guy. And why would a guy wanna marry a guy? Daphne: Security Hahaha I love the all moral contradictions, with humor they can't be painful! I didn't realize the Maracas timing thing the first time I saw it. Is amazing. Whether maracas and tango has nothing in common,it doesn't matter at all.

Such a great line, Victoria. Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond were such an incredible team. Smart, sophisticated, a terrific sense of how scenes and lines would play, and of course, funny.

This is quite a Diamond indeed! I saw it a couple more times and even with no sound it makes me laugh. I saw "The Apartment" this morning. Incredible! Only for the theme of this post. In the same way, they keep the rhythm the entire sequence morning office with the tissues and the nose spray. With little humor this time, keeping the tension to expose Baxter incredulous, alone right in the street corner, spraying his nose and his white carmination, giving the audience just enough time to laugh of this amazing love triangle, giving a little pleasure of speculation right before Shirley McLane comes into the restaurant, to confirm it. What a drama! Tissue flying out of Baxter's pocket on the street to close Act one! (am I right?)
