Ouch! I know that's not the first time that happened to you. I recall you almost wrote something similar to Monster-in-Law, or wrote it and put it aside.

Yep, the Mother-In-Law from hell. Never actually got beyond a treatment on it. Had too many writing projects going on at the time, then let the thing lie fallow in my files until I nearly forgot about it. Then opened up Daily Variety one morning and whammo - "Monster-In-Law." Pulled out my old treatment and sighed rather loudly.

Screenwriting is like baseball: you can't hit the ball (sell a script) unless you step up to the plate and swing the bat (write the script).

So when in doubt, write.
