Personal Star Wars story of which I have many. I was in graduate school at Yale when this movie came out. Incredibly busy with academics, working two jobs to help pay for my education, and a member of a rock band in my 'spare' time. So I had to pick my movies carefully because of busy calendar. I think I saw Star Wars three times the first week it came out. One of those times, I helped round up a whole gaggle of my fellow students to go, telling them how great the movie was. We also convinced famed theologian Henri Nouwen to accompany us [he was a professor at Yale at the time and lived on campus]. By chance, he sat next to me for the screenwriting. I remember looking at face from time to time as he watched movie, an utter look of astonishment. Afterward he was as blown away by a movie as anybody I've known. An amazing image for me, this saintly man fully caught up in the adventures of Luke Skywalker.
