I definitely like the idea... seems like a throwback to older flicks, I keep thinking Albert Brooks. I can totally imagine this feeling like Broadcast News, which is fine, except when you have a movie full of comedians, well, you expect it to be funny! So maybe it's more like "The Muse," where a simple change introduces Anna Kendrick to this whole other world (and lets the audience in on the ride), and you have comedians sort of playing funny versions of themselves (remember Martin Scorcese? "I'm remaking Raging Bull, but this time it's a real skinny guy."). I can totally picture Patton Oswalt, Dana Gould, Kristin Schaal, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman, Sarah Silverman, Norm MacDonald, Kevin Pollack, Garfunkel and Oats, Brian Posehn (who I actually like, but just the visual of the giant bird dude next to Anna Kendrick makes this a must)... ideally you want a mix of the famous and the fantastic but lesser-knowns, so the audience gets to discover a new favorite as the movie goes on.
