The recent screenplay that I finished ( a part of which I discussed few days back when we were talking about the cavers), there is a also a sword of Alexander with magical powers, the hero is destined to find out in order to achieve his goals. I also used the sword as a symbol of Healing. Yeah, many possibilities....We must keep writing.

In a Milchian twist, meaning that you would put something from your own experience into the mix, I remember as a boy I found my own grandfather's Mason sword with his name carved in it, of course. I thought it was the coolest thing. But I made the mistake of telling my parents. When my uncle got wind of it he immediately claimed it for himself, with no thought at all for me, not even the simplest apology. I never saw that sword again. But they permanently lost my respect. In my mind, had I not revealed my find, no one would ever have known it existed and it was rightfully mine. Long story short, I eventually dropped my family name years later, and my father and uncle died knowing I had no regard for it (neither name nor sword). Though, that was never my explicit intention. But thinking of it now, it may have been a very strong subconscious consideration.
