If one was to write a character-driven piece which involved retrieving a piece of data, the only copy of which resided somewhere in Google’s archives, would it be a mistake to make Google integral to the plot, or could you just go ahead – like Charlie Kaufman perhaps did to some extent in Being John Malkovitch?
