This is currently running on TWC PPV. It's beautifully done. It's very atmospheric and cinematic. As Jarmusch says, it's a vampire film about relatively nice vampires. But the bottom line is that they have to drink blood. The films has great indie music, which blends well with the story, the settings, locations and especially the wonderful effortless reserved acting by Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddlestone. It's like a classic painting. I think Jarmusch has become quite accomplished with this film in combining music, atmosphere (location and design) with acting. He speaks in the interview of how film is like music. And I can see that here. It's something to strive for, as a director. The story for me is subservient to everything else, perhaps like any typical 60s era "art" film. But that's Jarmusch.
