I generally like reading "unfilmables" in a script because professional writers tend to utilize them well. We have to remember: Script readers don't just consist of voyeurs on the Web. Most everyone involved in making a film also reads that script. So if there's unfilmables that give an actor a better idea of who their character is, that has to be considered a good thing, right? I think where unfilmables go wrong is when writers try and use them to express their own opinion about something that has nothing to do with the script. Anytime you make the script about YOU, rather than the CHARACTERS and STORY, it's over. If you can't go 90-120 pages without talking about yourself, then telling the stories of other people's lives probably isn't something you should be doing.
