I came late to Firefly. The series was already defunct by the time I discovered it but I can sincerely say that it was love at first light. What a great show. I can't understand still why it had such little viewership considering that all the fans I know were rabid about the series.

Anyway, I will definitely watch any movie that Whedon has written the script for. How exciting. Thank you for posting the news.

I feel your pain. Our family didn't discover Firefly until it was rebroadcast on the Sci-Fi Channel. By then, way too late to jump on any bandwagon. Originally broadcast on Fox, its demise is well documented by various fan sites.

I was especially a fan of Summer Glau as she read for the movie Snowbirds and I was blown away by her audition tape. Summer has gone on to star in another sci-fi TV series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
